Mandate
The Standing Codes Coordination Committee (SCCC) will coordinate code development activities by development committees, in accordance with the Canadian Board for Harmonized Construction Codes (CBHCC) approved work plan for the 2030 code cycle.
The SCCC is established by, and reports to, the CBHCC. The SCCC will comply with the Operating Procedures of the Canadian Board for Harmonized Construction Codes.
Responsibilities
In accordance with the mandate described above:

- [provide input during work planning on the coordination and sequencing of work packages and tasks identified in the draft work plan;]
- [provide input on terms of reference of National Model Codes committees so that the membership is reflective of holistic consideration of subject areas;]
- provide input to identify potential bottom-up tasks for consideration by the CBHCC for addition to the work plan;
- provide a forum for development committees to share updates on proposed changes being developed;
- identify and discuss overlaps and/or connections in committees’ work, or impacts on other Codes or parts of Codes related to the proposed changes being developed;
- through the Chair, provide regular reports to the CBHCC; and
- conduct cumulative impact analysis for proposed code changes as directed by the CBHCC.
